Where published stories go to be read and admired.
When you're ready for the world (or at least the user-base of this site) to see your story, you can publish it to the library.
From the story overview page you fill in the publish form, and then click publish. Once done, a snapshot of it is published to the library.
You can actually keep editing your story after it's published and your edits won't be visible unless you republish it (update the library version).
Once it's in the library, any other user of the site can read it. They get a nice reading mode, and can write comments, bookmark, and even like your story.
Note: You choose whether comments are enabled when you publish it, don't worry!
